Six Sentence Sunday - Thirty-one

Staying with my Naughty Fairy Tale this week, but backing it up a chapter.  Our heroine loves to weave tall tales and we catch her in the beginning telling a whopper.

 “There’s no werewolf.  Those be fairy tales we tell our wee ones to prevent them from scurryin’ too far into the wood.” 

          "Oh, Bawd, I wish you were right, I truly do.  But do you see the marks the beast's claws made on my arm?"  With that, she lifted her sleeve to show the three long welts on her inner arm.  The 'ooohs' and 'aaaahs' filtered through the room as she lowered the cloth back down.
